- A smooth and sweet body.
Sweetish,creamy,herbal and winey.
Soft berrie fruits. Prunes.Lots of flavor development. Becoming spicy, with cinnamon and later ginger.
Very long. Figs in cream.Green peppercorns
- Far from bad –
certainly on the nose – but I have had quite a lot of better wine finishes as
well, even from Glenmorangie.
Nice, round and sweet
nose with a whole bouquet of flowers (without becoming perfumy), succulent
honey and apricots. Plum pie. The red wine is present, but the nose is nicely
On the palate it is
round and sweet as well, but also quite spicy. Think vanilla, ginger and
liquorice. A touch of pepper as well. The wine is more prevalent now. The
apricots are joined by strawberries and blueberries. It gets a slight sour
edge. And it becomes a tad dry. Rosehip tea?
The finish is fairly
long and becomes quite spicy yet again.
- "A distillery bottling from the earlier days of Glenmorangie`s wine
finishing experimentation. A 10 year old Glenmorangie further matured
for 2 years in Premier Cru red wine casks from Cote de Beaune, for an
extra kick of spice and red fruit."
