Nose: aged notes of bourbon. Add some fruit with barley.
Taste: Old type of oldscool whisky on a bourbon barrel. Fruit on the tongue, a little grass, Corn with a sweet nut addition. Elegantly arranged. Background light spices
Rating 93 100 Finish quite long with elements of corn. Beautiful old whisky. However, slightly demanding. The notes are slightly hidden. But when you find them then you can spend very nice moments with her.

I didn’t expect such fruitiness from an aberlour , the distillate must have been amazing. Tropical fruits and grapefruit. Just after the ardbeg 73 montcreiffe, all I can say is that I need to try everything from this bottler now! Amazing

I only had a small sample of this so a full tasting note is not possible.
A light, floral, fruity nose with a hint of barley is followed on the palate by more white fruit, faint hint of honey, lemon rind and then a little barley sugar with some soft spices, is this really aberlour?
This is so far removed from the latter day heavily sherried offerings from Aberlour that if feels like its from another distillery altogether.
What I do know is this is better than the heavily sherried stuff

Nice mouthfeel, a real nice alternative to the usual stuff from Aberlour (which is fineI
