I'm not a big fan of Laphroaig in general, but I must admit that I like it. It is complex, balanced, very mineral (and I like that!). Alcohol does not hurt.
Vanilla ash smoke and some roasted coffee beans. Peat is powerful, very present. After aeration, dry hay smoke and traces of medicinal herbs with honey.
Cold ashes invade the mouth. Vanilla too, herbs and flowing honeycombs. Creamy texture.
Long. The smoke is immediately transformed into salty iodine. Ash remains ubiquitous in the background.
