Whisky Reviews for Mortlach 1991 HB

- Hail sulfur! Gunpowder, a cut boiled egg, butter, matches. You could call this robust, but I'd call it a bad cask. There are some strong tannins in the taste, and with a lot of water some of that Mortlach pepper steak, but for me it's a miss.
- Always finding these IB Mortlach so much more tasty!
Chocolate, oily pork fat, struck matches, camphor, red fruits
Pork fat and very oily, creamy chocolate, sugar cinnamon, dash of pepper, light sulphur, tea leaves
Long and lingering finish, hot cinnamon candies, used tea leaves, mild oak astringency
- Sweet corn, caramel, cappuccino, dirty oil....what a great Mortlach once again!
