One I have tried on several occasions. I have always enjoyed it. It’s actually a whisky I would pour for anyone. I would actually question anyone who says this is bad. The price and contents are the only real debate.

Buttery, mouthcoating, more rum and raisin ice cream, all spice, soft old oak.

Long, mouthcoating, peaches stewed in turbinado sugar, soft ginger, barrel smoke, earthen. Great balance. Wonderful finish.

      Nose:
When I open the sample, I get a delicate, fine smoke note. It starts well.
The first thing I find in the glass itself is an adhesive note. Then dry wood and some wood wax. Then a dusty, old aroma prevails. Followed by brown sugar and orange. I also think I smell some cinnamon. In addition dried fruit and a light perfume note. If the colleague gets some time in the glass, the roasted aromas will prevail. For me it has something of toasted bread with butter. More floral aromas and yeast dough now come from the background. A hint of mint.
    • Taste
Soft start. Then this flag smoke prevails. Add a pinch of ginger hotness. Again this impression of dry wood and nutty bitterness. The sweetness takes a back seat. The taste of the fruit goes more in the fermented direction. Tastes better than the nose promised. Apricots, some peach and sour plums. There is also a slightly berry taste. Just like some liquorice.
    • Finish
Rather long. Spicy with set sweetness. Then it gets butterier.

A beautiful blend with clear age notes, ripe, candied fruit and root vegetables, leather, the oak is present without being slain, waxy, honey, hints of sherry. But still a rather elegant malt, which unfortunately does not reveal its age on the label, but nevertheless shows here.

I recommend to those opening a new bottle, finish it in a month. My bottle half full left is out of alcohol, just regular juice. Completely oxidized.

Definitely not outstanding, and doesn't taste older than old!  The bottler hypes this up way too much, but the price is reasonable.  It's young and old fighting with each other, and the young wins!  But regardless, I still enjoyed drinking it it because it's like a chameleon with many different sides.  My guess is it is a blended malt of polarizing styles, including sherry, smoke/peat, and of course old and young.

Bottle half empty. From memory, was more fruity on the nose at the opening, and more focused sherry. We still find some characteristic markers. In any case it's very good. Especially in the mouth and final for me.
    • Nose
Nose melted enough. Cereal and a lot of honey. A little paint and solvent. We then open on a good dose of leather, and a little wood. Then only arrive some fruits, apricots and orange in mind. A very light veil of eucalyptus.
    • Taste
In the mouth, much more fruity, with red fruits adding to those of the nose. A good dose of salt. Spices (cinnamon) and always leather and wood chips.
    • Finish
Final moderately long, which is really old whiskey. Dust, sherry (red fruits, leather, wood)

    N-
Open up with refine sherry fruits of prunes, ripe plum and dried
hawthorns. Well integrated caramel sweetness with hint of mineral,
saline and earthiness. Pleasant and mellow.

P- Delicious sweet spice, dark fruits and dried peels, light peppery emerge at the tail, medium texture. F- Medium, silky smooth and complex. Drifts of monk fruit and
herbal notes with citrus zest. Restrained spiciness coating. Pleasant
heat of ginger at the back of throat, warming.

    Eiling Lim's official tasting notes:

It contains Old Highland and Speyside
malts from the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s that are vatted together in a
sherry cask to produce a smooth and old-style whisky lingering
    experience.

    Colour: Deep Golden

On the nose: A soft touch
of oloroso sherry, honey, warm toasted brioche, fresh, fine leather,
warm cooked fruits, eucalyptus, soft hints of nutmeg, chrysanthemum,
fine aged malt, aromas are well interwoven, almost no alcohol detected
    in the nose.

On the palate: It starts with a very smooth and
gentle sweetness, and then the spiciness kicks in, fine soft oak, gentle
oloroso dryness, balanced whisky that tempts you to take a second glass
    with a lingering finish.
