  1. ASWhisky scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

the nose gets good 97 points which is wow
the mouth still creates 93 points
the departure unfortunately only 88 points
since I only rate my whiskys as a total work of art
    the old beautiful Talisker gets:

    93 out of 100 points
    yes! I'm in heaven
    • Nose
this morning was the final casting as
      before breakfast tasting

when opening the bottle directly spicy plum meat

an old plum tree in the late summer sun
its wood smells warm and musty
Insects and the cracked fruits on the ground
their ripe flesh smells of withered leaves and raisins
the late summer flowers smell heavy
      the ground is dusty
You sit down at the gnarled wooden table under the plum tree
Here it smells like eucalyptus and camphor
      You give yourself a whisky
      a Talisker
and suddenly there is a harbor behind the plum tree
      maritime smells
      salty harbor water
everything is warm and soft in the late summer sun
      thickened sherry
You are dreaming and you are at the harbor
the vase with the flowers tilts
stagnant flow of water draws into the old wood
      You smell of your Talisker
Smoke mingles with the smell of the camphor
hot black pepper mixes with mild pink pepper
in between the flowers and their water, the old wood and the ripe plums
in the background clearly the harbor
      You're smiling
that would be a Talisker with such smells, unbelievable ...
    • Taste
      soft plummy spicy start
old damp barrel (a bit decayed)
      a tiny touch of alcohol
Chilicatch's extra class: pepper, chili, sherry wow
on your tongue he is tense, yet soft and warm
      Spices and eucalyptus
Maritime and salty, too, but somewhat obscured by the spicy wood & sherry notes
soft fruity spicy smoke in the throat
      dark dark chocolate
    • Finish
      medium

      a bit too bitter
old barrel, spicy (already a bit musty)
      Chocolate dark
      sherry notes
