Whisky Reviews for Ezra Brooks 12-year-old

- Very good bourbon. Is rather on the dry and tart side.
- A bourbon of the more spicy variety, beautiful is the total suppression of any typical bourbon glue by age and single cask, but I'm not the biggest fan of more bitter-perfume-like whiskeys.
Very fine nose, you notice the quite high age for a bourbon, the glue is virtually gone, you have fine brown sugar, hazelnuts in the background, a few berries even, bitter orange, dark honey, cinnamon, dried apricot
Here too directly brown sugar, honey, toffee, slightly bitter oak comes along, then a few dried culinary herbs, thyme, rosemary, some clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, dried apricot but with kernel, bitter orange and some grapefruit, the glue is in fact also here completely away, there speaks a lot of barrel
Almost perfumed, slightly bitter and aromatic, licorice, chestnut, dark chocolate, grapefruit, some pepper, medium-long, spicy-dry-warming
