  1. EnjoyLife89 scored this whisky 88 points Expert Junior

    • Nose
      sourish wine note; fermented grapes and citrus; after the sour start has settled somewhat, a nice fruity and sweet note comes to the fore;
    • Taste
      Wow, immediately to feel the barrel clearly; Leather, wet leather; ripe fruits; Cocoa, a little bit of oak but mainly leather and a bit like stable, very interesting.
    • Finish
      Nut, ripe fruits (apple), vanilla, caramel; nut again;

  3. Allandale scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
      Salty, smoky, currants, peanut brittle, light bitter and some red fruit.
    • Taste
      Cinnamon, apfelstrudel, creamy, plums at the end peppery.
    • Finish
      Medium long, sweet and slightly peppery.

  4. schero scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

    He is good at what he can do
    • Nose
      Cherries, juice oranges, sweet strawberries, a little bit of alcohol comes through in the form of fruit acid, fruit bars, a light hazelnut note Over time, the nose becomes spicier and more interesting. There is more and more of this great Brennereicharakter by.
    • Taste
      Fruity sweet, the juice oranges are right there, oak spiciness, slightly peppery but creamy mouthfeel
    • Finish
      All impressions form a beautiful mixture in the finish, the oak is a bit bitter, a little more alcohol would have been here certainly optimal, yet very consistent

    Lighter than cask 6928, which is another type of cask of course. It can't beat that one, but I do like its old profile. 87/88.
    • Nose
      Plum, cherry, apple, fig, peach, caramel, hazelnut paste, milk chocolate and vanilla.
    • Taste
      Plum, oak, toffee, apple, cocoa and leather.
    • Finish
      Toffee, apple, almond, pear and cinnamon.

    I like it very much, but it's definitely not for everyone.
    • Nose
      First comes vanilla and caramel. A pretty sweet aroma with some oak. Ripe red grapes and oranges. Yes honey comes to the fore after a long smell.
    • Taste
      Very spicy and sweet with quite strong oak which presses into the foreground. A pronounced wine aroma and citrus fruits and dark chocolate.
    • Finish
      Long and warm. Dry with espresso. Nutty.
