    He is delicious, you do not notice the blend, he still has youthful strength, but good taste for the age, with 90-100 € fair prizes.
    • Nose
      intense, grainy sweetness, light tingle (salty-sour freshness), biscuits with lemon icing, some orange / peach jam
    • Taste
      pretty intense, lasting pinch of salt & pepper on the tongue, with plenty of wood influence - forest honey, cocoa, nutella, blackberry jam ....
    • Finish
      long and peppery, from sip to sip more bittersweet chocolate

    There is no Campbeltown feeling and the associated high standard, but water helps a lot.
    • Nose
      Interesting and slowly open one. Caramel, honey, flowers, tea, citruses, vanilla. Mild smoke.
    • Taste
      Freshly grated lemon peel, spicy oak, milk chocolate, earth.
    • Finish
      Medium length, bittersweet.

    Tasted at a Malt Mongers Israel evening

    I was a bit let down by this one. I’ve had it before (about a year ago) and remember quite liking it but this time round I really felt the acetone notes on it which were far too strong and overpowering.

      Light floral notes. Honey. Acetone. Milk chocolate. Pears.
    • Taste
      Bitter wood. Citrus peel. Slightly earthy. Dust
    • Finish
      Medium long. Bitter citrus. Fennel. Anise. Acetone.

    Nose:-
    Closed. Patiently wait for the aroma to open up, drop of water helps.
    Slightly pungent. Floral, toasted malt and thought I get some black tea
    leaf in there.

    Palate:- Mellow,
    soft spices, savoury. Earthy flavor derived from campbeltown peat that
    reminds me of Springbank only highlight of this dram. I find it somehow a
    bit hollow and dull, not quite the usual 'hit you on the teeth'
    campbeltown whisky that I am expecting.

    Finish:- Medium with bitterness and astringent.

    Eye: Amontillado minus. Nose: Soft smoke, gently hot. Malty. Fresh lemon cake. After a few minutes creamy vanilla. Frisian sugar bread, sprinkled with rock sugar and salted butter (roomboter). And an almost Islay woolliness, with a hint of laurel. Mouth: Mouth warming and coating. Very nice. Starchy sweet. Fresh oak. Little briny. Residue: Wet sheep, and a little sulfur.

    Golden amber like a summers night on the barley fields with long legs and oily texture.
    I feel lemon tart on the nose and a hint of nail polish. But it's sweet, so sweet.
    Sweet taste with oranges and peaches. Also licorice and salt.
    The finish is there for a long time. Oak and malt, a dry sensation where my upper lips feel numbish. And there is a bit of an old leather belt there as well.

    Really good but I prefer the regular Springbank 18y.
