- fine fabric
- A serious and good Farclas in a great presentation. Clearly ripened in refill casks, the clearly spicy oak suggests a high proportion of European oak!
malty, fruity, sweet, alcohol, sherry flavors, wood;
strong fruity onset, tingling, very malty, dry sherry, tobacco, ginger and spicy oak;
medium-long dry finish, tobacco; bitter aftertaste;
- It is a bit rough and ready but the palate has a nice sweetness that grows on you, for the price it is reasonable value.
First, full sweet Sherrynote which then increasingly turns into a fruitiness. Reminiscent of barreled Kirschwasser or plum brandy. Jaffacake, caramel malt and a hint of smoke. Spicy in the background as well as hints of moss, menthol and old fruit crates.
Full sherry tones and a pithy spice wrestle for the upper hand. More nuts, light rancion notes, rainy hay and pungent maltiness. Later also floury apples.
Long with fruity sherry tones, oak, dark chocolate and subtle smoky roasted aromas.
