  1. Mascht scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

a young Ledaig, intense and dirty
    • Nose
      85 85
dirty smoke like burned garbage, mountain cheese, sugar candy, kelp, cowshed, slightly fruity
    • Taste
      88 88
intense and warming, smoke, vanilla cream, tar, herbs, ripe apples, grapefruit, some oak
    • Finish
      86 86
the filthy smoke remains eternal, with some fruitiness and a light sweetness

  2. hartist scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

A Ledaig certainly classic but seems fatter than other youngsters of his kind.
    • Nose
We feel that it is powerful without being aggressive so far. The "dirty" peat so typical of Ledaig (old damp mop, a little soot?) Is present before being gradually revealed more fruity scents (apples and pears) with a hint of vanilla.
    • Taste
Ouh, what a mouth for a 9 year old !. Powerful, fat, round, balanced ..... A real success in my eyes. Beautiful declination of the nose, so farm peat with ripe fruits underlined candied citrus.
    • Finish
Persistent, slightly sweet, on a beautiful smoke became ashen and a good package of spices more full-bodied.

A very classic Ledaig, for lovers of this kind of peat. Alcohol is very well integrated and balanced.
    • Nose
The farm peat typical of young Ledaig is present: dry straw, wet hay, and even a little stable. The fruity is in the background, but nevertheless noticeable: apple and yellow grapefruit (whose acidity tingles slightly in the nose).
    • Taste
In the line of the nose: farm peat in the foreground, flanked by vanilla lemon. Smooth creaminess grows with time.
    • Finish
A big cloud of straw smoke occupies the mouth. A bit of ash dust appears, as well as large pinches of exotic spices.
