SMWS Tasting Notes
Colour: Silvery starlight gold
Flavour: Light & delicate
This got all thumbs up – yes it’s young, but it’s
delightfully fresh – the nose gave citrus (lemon cake, lime juice), other tart
fruits, floral notes, vanilla ice-cream and fresh laundry. The reduced nose
drifted from floral to herbal, while perfumed lady’s flip-flops by a swimming
pool made us want to dive in. So we did – it tasted of tingly citrus (pink
grapefruit, sherbet lemon), summer puddings, meringues, flying saucers and
Haribo Tangfastics, with touches of caramel biscuits, fennel seed, cucumber and
mint leaf. With water, the palate was sweet, clean, juicy and moreish – white
grapes, mango, peach, watermelon and elderflower.
Drinking tip: Summer time – by the pool, maybe with ice –
maybe even in a cocktail?!?
