    A very good Ardmore!
    • Nose
A very promising nose, barley, exotic fruits, smoke, candy, all very fresh, a treat for the nostrils!
    • Taste
In the mouth it is fruity, smoked, we find the markers of the nose, the exotic touch is undeniable!
    • Finish
The final is short, it's a shame.

A very good Ardmore. Not far from the famous 1992.
    • Nose
Malty, fruity and smoky. The fruits are quite on the tart side. There is a vegetal touch and some vanilla too.
    • Taste
Smoky and fruity (exotic, citrus) with a creamy texture. Spices from the wood.
    • Finish
Long, continuity of the mouth with a zesty touch.

    Elegant, complex, classy. A must.
    • Nose
Cream, smoke, a zest of lime, old woods weathered by the years and heated by the sun, a hint of honey, something more vegetal (bamboo wood ...); fruity and tart notes in the most volatile nose tickle the nostrils. Right up my alley, as they say across the Channel.
    • Taste
The exotic fruits attack right after the first malted and smoked impression. And they are present, and you tickle the taste buds playing with toasted wood and a discreet smoke. The sour cream is there, too.
    • Finish
Superbly fruity, in a smoky, honeyed and malty structure of the most beautiful balance and in which the wood is superbly integrated. The class! A rear-mouth at the same time farm (farmyard in autumn: the smoke escapes by the chimney, there is a pile of wet hay in a corner, and one has just milked the cows) and fruity (welcome in the he is!).

Well: a quite good middle class quality, simple and pleasant, if you like that American oak thing.
    • Nose
Maltiness, sweet chewing gum with 'artificial' fruit flavour - that makes clear that the cask was made of American Oak …, some smoke, caramellised eucalyptus drops, American oak vanilla, slight spices of scouring powder mixed with bright fruits (… maybe some mango, too), some fruit sweetness, dried flowers from the garden.
    • Taste
Bright fruits, lemony smoke, some peaches, citrus, citrus peal, wood, malty, a little tart, again that special American oak chewing gum sweetness.
    • Finish
Citrus freshness, citrus peal, pleasant spiciness, a bit smoky, some fruits (mango?), some maltiness, eucalyptus drops - that stays long … - for me much too long ...

    Mr. Whiskyfun says:

Ardmore 1993/2015 (49.9%, Gordon & MacPhail, Exclusive for Whisky-Online, cask #5750, 176 bottles) Colour: gold. Nose: oh, some smoky eucalyptus again! A touch of coconut in the background, some barley water, broom, vanilla, an earthy smoke, then vin jaune from Jura, fino sherry (but this is no sherry cask), and wet gravel after the first rain after a long sunny period. Mouth: it was a great American oak, which imparted lovely tropical notes, especially mangos and passion fruits that give it a Bowmore-y side. Then an eucalyptussy (apologies) smoke and these touches of white peaches that I often find in Ardmore. I find this extremely good, both ‘authentic’ and easy. In other words, malt whisky for your friends – and for you. There aren’t that many of them. Finish: quite long, zesty, smoky, well-chiselled. The aftertaste remains fresh and fruity. Comments: this one’s hard to resist. Everything’s just very perfect, which grants a 90-points score in my little tasting book. SGP:655 - 90 points.
