    Next, OK, I'm a diehard Armorik fan! But for exactly this reason I have explicitly tried to follow the taste experience of the "mechanic". I did not succeed. One notices this Armorik that he was not finished in Port, but felt very well over the entire storage time, in this barrel! I had, shortly after pouring, even at short notice, the sulfur, but makes the fast from the field, the iodine, which I was thievishly happy, nullkommanix: (Instead, I have these yogurt gums in the nose, which is jam (Raspberry?) Arguing for supremacy on the palate, you immediately notice an oilyness whose viscosity approaches salad dressing.The taste is wonderfully fruity, nutty and a hint of chocolate can also be caught.If you hope for a short finish, you have the Teeth brushing! I had the great dark taste and the spice (clove, allspice) after ten minutes.The 55.2% Vol.Alk can be enjoyed without water without poroblemlos and you do not even have to be a real guy (darling found him just as class!) Many thanks to David and Alba Import that this treasure was allowed to find its way into our Tastingglas.

    At a tasting yesterday, I was given this drop and today I am writing my impressions from memory.
    The armor is very dark in color, most likely close to copper. Medium windows were visible and I remember the dram as solid. The cask-strong bottling invites you to experiment with water.

      There were pleasant caramel and honey notes on the nose, but it was also very spicy and with clear herbs. After the reduction to 48% vol., I found the Armorik to be very pleasant. A good portion of sandalwood stuck in my memory and I had the impression of a badly burnt barrel!?
    • Taste
      85 85
      On the palate I found the dram to be spicy with a slight acidity. The fruit flavors were in the range of raspberries and red currants with a clear sweetness. I still remember gummy bears and it had an oily mouthfeel. I also remembered the dram as somewhat soapy.
    • Finish
      83 83
      Medium length, with a clear herbal note and slightly astringent. The sweetness comes through, but the finish didn't quite convince me. Still an appealing whisky!

    Despite only 7 years a wonderfully balanced, aromatic single cask bottling - which is particularly suitable for the Christmas season!
    [Color:] = copper;
    • Nose
      83 83
      intense, fruity (raspberries, currants), dark chocolate, spice cake;
    • Taste
      82 82
      full of aromatic start, berries, port, lots of dark chocolate, Christmas spices, complex; oily body;
    • Finish
      81 81
      medium length, ripe fruit, dark chocolate;

    COLOR: amber

    - a really very interesting, very intense single malt
    - great port note but goes to GM Quinta Ruban
    not quite ran
    - one of the best single cask that I have from Armorik
    have tried ...
    • Nose
      very intense scent, dark fruits, chocolate, fresh waffles, you get hungry immediately and think of the Christmas market, the aromas take deep inside, just great
    • Taste
      An intense start, a fruity note, chocolate and waffles are unfortunately no longer in the mouth, old raisins, dark fruit cake
    • Finish
      medium-long finish;
      long fruity aftertaste, here again a touch of dark chocolate

    It looks quite young and therefore not particularly balanced. The fruits have a certain artificial undertone and the malt lacks overall depth.
    It's not bad, but it's not really good either.

    A bit young and brute but with a nice fruity- and spiciness.
    • Nose
      84 84
      Light, fresh, floral and fruity at first nosing. Sweet Fanta grapes, pommegranate-raspberry juice and fudge ... shower gel and soap - not very expressive but a very pleasant nose.
    • Taste
      85 85
      Powerful, biting and bold at first mouthful - sweet, winey and spicy. Pepper, ginger, jalapeños, port wine, caramel and chocolate. Very good.
    • Finish
      83 83
      Medium long, oaky and very spicy (ginger, pepper, jalapeños).

    Resolution: WID: 73792 Armorik 2008 Port Cask 55.2% (no finish)

    Thank you very much Music! It remains to be said that Armorik makes really good stuff. Impressed me!
    • Nose
      I also had number 3. But promised: After that I slow down!

      On the other hand, when it's about to happen ...

      Nose: spicy, chocolate, raspberry panna cotta, tender celery
    • Taste
      Lots of berries (raspberries and blackberries), lean quark (no idea why), oak, very fruity intense with some alcohol, but not too much.

      Some nuts, chocolate and biscuit.
    • Finish
      Medium long and slightly dry.

  12. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
      The port has a slightly set nose, iodine, spicy
    • Taste
      Sharp start, typical portnotes, raspberry, fruity sweet, then oak, when the sharpness has warped, the mouthfeel is quite pleasant, bittersweet
    • Finish
      Some cinnamon, light sulfur, quite short
