- Smokey grassy dram at high abv%, fits my taste
- Must have been a refill cask. The colour is very light, and the spirit is quite powerful. It's rather pungent or even harsh, making it difficult for everybody to love. For me it's a bit too much. As I am somewhat sensitive to fudge and toffee, this is not the most pleasant dram I've come across lately.
Quite restrained directly after pouring, with just caramel and grass notes. Can't say it's too pleasant yet. Gets fresher after a while. the grass stays, is accompanied by mint. Furthermore, pears and apples join the party. There is marzipan and a dirty cheesy off note. With water, it's another tad fresher, with more fruit like peach.
Powerful, sweet and pungent, with fudge, nuts, honey, barley, sugar and ginger. Gets rather dry towards the finish. Water doesn't help; it just takes off the edges of this sturdy bloke.
A decrescendo of pepper and ginger, toffee, honey and grass.
