- was asked to place this in a blind taste with a departing friend (Jeroen). could not place it at all with some interesting herbal/spicy notes. overall OK, but preferred the Fusion.
- A raw force of nature, a little bit untamed at first but it gets better as time pass. Not my favorite Cask strength but It's quite cheap.
- Gives single malts from Scotland a real challenge. So mature for a relatively young age. Very interesting! It's not a sherry cask, but perhaps European Oak?
Without water I only get alcohol. After 2 teaspoons of water I get cloves, vanilla and a lot of wood. Smells very mature and complex, promising!
Warm spices, like gluwein, and again a lot of wood influence. The vanilla is more in the background, but still noticable.
The finish is long and warming, very intruiging. The wood reminds me of a Glendronach sherry cask whisky.
