  1. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

With such a whisky I do not expect "Hurray, for which I would like to pay 500 euros!", But at least "Geiles stuff, saulecker, really well selected!" Unfortunately he does not bring.
The nose is interesting, there is such an approach of "wow", but it is not enough, the taste is delicious, but that's about it, good drinkable, but rather banal. That's a pity. (Maybe I'm just too stupid for such good whisky.)
    • Nose
it's not easy ... velvety-sweet pungency, white pepper, brown sugar, butter biscuit ... some floor wax, fango pack, freshly cleaned hospital ... with water then the fruity side, green apple, unripe banana, a hint of lime
    • Taste
full-bodied, sweet, milk chocolate, candy, a touch of orange marmalade, some pepper and salt
    • Finish
long and dry, dark chocolate, pepper, then neat woody-bitter, tannins, slightly furry mouthfeel

Would n’t it be nice to drink SV 20yo + Shirley barrel kittens for half the price? Although some desserts are not as good as bourbon barrels to display winery genes, this cost-effective OB is too overdrawn.
    • Nose
Sweet, greasy yet stimulating wax texture, honey, brown sugar, white chocolate, butter cookies, banana milk, cheese, salty cream, ice cream, emerald yogurt, new stems of grass. Whole wheat bread, spicy wood, a little match, pepper, lime powder and fireworks. Slightly floral, blueberry, green apple and citrus.
    • Taste
White stubble oak, honeycomb, ginger brown sugar, light fruit, orange peel oil, furniture wax, slightly bitter pepper and salt.
Full, fat rich, sweeter, non-irritating, acid-free, astringent, with little bitterness.
    • Finish
Long time, fresh orange peel, white stubble oak, small amount of salt.

Way too close to the 14-year-old Clynelish (whom I greatly appreciate) to justify the nearly 15-fold price. The basic characteristics: bright fruitiness - especially pear - beeswax, honey, herbs and a hint of furniture polish I like there.

    ***
    ????: white wine, crystalline,
????: very nice varnish, sweet, intense, slightly cauliflower, lots of wax and floral notes
????: delicate, as if slightly sherry, develops in a sharp direction, slightly irritating the palate, but short, it does not last long
????: slightly acidic, not too long,

Nice cute nose varnish, my nose is 5th. Hmmm ... and probably the rest without optimism, which is a bit too short and too ordinary. It's a pity because the attitude was on the good Clynelish.

  7. Seanzhang scored this whisky 93 points Expert Senior

This one is much better than the 2014 edtion. Much more fruity, green apple, lemon, honey.

After stayed in the opened bottle for half a year, I find this one is very close to the Clynelish 1972 GM Book of Kells, and maybe even 0.5 point better, beautiful whisky.
