- Benrinnes malt is one of the main components of this blend
- Completely agree with Lincolnimp; this is excellent stuff!
- I love the bottle label on this one.
- Lovely simple profile but you must have a sweet tooth to enjoy it.
This is well over 50 years old and its a blend. Excellent stuff.
If this is what old blends are capable of then bring them on. It is not complex, not powerful just enjoyable.
Colour wise it has a slightly pink hue.
This smells really old, on old books, leather arm chairs etc.
It is like sitting in an old library. Some honey and nice notes of pineapple, syrup/treacle sponge and custard
Barley sugar sweets, and clotted cream.
It smells old and also surprisingly fresh which I put down to the grain component.
Creamy sweetness initially but strangely slight thin also , sweet sugared coffee, barley sugar, candied fruits, still getting the custard (vanilla) and definite pineapple chunks in syrup.
Medium length with a lovely sweet finish.
