Starts with a very full and extract-rich fragrance. At first it looks a bit closed, but it unfolds with a little time. Gradually, a sweet and sour tart fruitiness follows, which is very reminiscent of cranberries, cornel cherries and wild raspberries. On the other hand, there are also full, hearty, malty spelled aromas, dried mushrooms, game meat, some chocolate and pumpernickel. Really unique but wonderfully composed, as the whiskey creates the perfect balancing act between the aroma of spelled and the influence of pot wine. After a while, slight vinous reflections and a slightly fizzy spice follow.

Wonderful oily mouthfeel. Again full hearty, malty spelled aromas, clammy husks, accompanied by fine spices, fleshy accents and prunes. Little by little, venison, stock-like notes, oak and walnuts follow. Really very nice and always nuttier.
    • Finish
      85 85
Long, spicy, nutty spelled notes and again quite hearty notes. Later sour cherries and prunes

You have to get involved with it. Of course he's different from a single malt. The port notes are clearly present and you can drink it away in a relaxed manner once you have got used to it and its grain notes. Not a candidate to buy again, but also no reason to throw away.
    • Nose
      85 85
Sour beginning, putrid hay, rubber, cherry. Later chocolate and tea, cereals, coffee. Even sweeter later and dark berries.
    • Taste
      84 84
Cereals, seasoning, blueberries, strawberries. Alcohol acceptably strong. Getting bitter and some marzipan.
    • Finish
      81 81
Short to medium-length finish with sour cherries and cereals

  3. LaddieNerd scored this whisky 77 points Connoisseur

Anise, caraway, alcohol. Very subtle whiskey notes.

  4. HunterRomario scored this whisky 81 points Expert Senior

    There is no miracle.
    • Nose
Flavors of malt, fruity acid, white grape wine, a pinch of honey, straw, can. There's a lot of alcohol. (79 b)
    • Taste
Muesli, cereals, grain. It spits piquant, but more percentages will help her to a fuller taste. In the end, a bit of "Irish perfume". (82 b)

  5. Lorion scored this whisky 48 points Expert Senior

I do not need it anymore. Prefer not to drink anything.
    • Nose
      Dinkelnase, alcoholic fruitiness (Obstler)
    • Taste
Mild taste, some cereals, slightly sour. Strange taste, which I can not quite identify.
    • Finish
      Short with cereals.
