The smell is beguiling, very sherry-heavy. I do not want to stop smelling. But is this still whisky or is it already sherry? Whatever it is, it smells fantastic. The sherry is also dominant in the mouth, sweet and seductive. In the finish then takes a little oak. It is the pure pleasure to drink such a thing, but that is almost no more whisky and certainly no Clynelish. In this whisky, the distillery is interchangeable. I forgive him for that, as wickedly delicious as he is.
    • Nose
Lots of sherry, raisins, plums, some blackcurrant, cinnamon, amarena cherry, getting sweeter, PX sherry, only a little oak
    • Taste
Creamy body, the start starts slowly, but then increases enormously, after a short hot sharpness has subsided, the whisky is like sweet syrup on the tongue, slightly astringent, again the Amarena cherry, chocolate, some brittle, cocoa powder
    • Finish
Lots of dark chocolate, a hint of dark oak, sweetened espresso, a hint of juniper, long

Nose: great Sherrynase, Oloroso, raisins, nice spice, rum, toffee, coffee, some balsamic and liquorice Taste: dark sweetness, sherry, strong, dry oak Finish: long, sherry, rum and raisins, very spicy, dry and slightly waxy Water: does not necessarily have to be, the liquorice notes become stronger Conclusion: there is not much left of Clynelish, maybe the slight waxy notes in the finish, but the Oloro barrel was damn good, albeit almost on the edge, almost too much sherry / "oversherried". 88 points

A whisky very marked by Sherry; but that, his color let him already presage. And precisely, this Sherry covers the typical markers of Clynelish. It's a great "Sherry" whisky, but it's impossible to smell that it's a Clynelish. So just enjoy this superb perfectly balanced whisky, and have fun without taking the head.
    • Nose
A tobacco joke is what comes to mind at the first nose. Then come a myriad of scents: brown sugar, roasted caramel, black plum, blackcurrant, gingerbread. And a very slight woody smoke.
    • Taste
Brown sugar appropriates the mouth. Red and black fruits, tobacco, a plethora of sweet and exotic spices, and even hazelnut shell accompany it. Overall very sweet and sweet, a real treat of Christmas.
    • Finish
Pretty short. An explosion of Christmas spices. The dusty hazelnut shell, and a hint of dark chocolate on the end. And always tobacco, dry this time, present from beginning to end.
