Whisky Reviews for Images of Islay Dunyvaig Castle MoS

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.23 points

  1. Tommyknocker scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

most likely a young Lagavulin from the sherry barrel, not bad, but not a bringer. He does not see any sun against the Bowmore Laimrig (same price!) In the other glass as a comparison between Sherry / Rauch.
    • Nose
slightly stinky note at the beginning, farm. If that's gone a bit lemony, grassy, so rather young-looking peat bomb with neat bacon BBQ-sauce impact, almost certainly a sherry barrel. In addition, dark honey, now cherry and honeydew melon, is very versatile.
    • Taste
Start pretty sharp and a bit sprittig, a lot of smoke, then nice sweet and buttery, also here a bit woody Sherrynoten with ham and cranberry jam. But more will not happen.
    • Finish
      medium, dry, peaty.

  2. WantsWhisky did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    Most likely a Lagavulin.
