Fruity and honeyed.. A sweet and quite delicious dram.

Tasty nose of fruit and honey. Also a bit of candle-like odor, perhaps rather yeast, which I personally experience less pleasantly. However, the taste makes a lot of good and the aftertaste is quite long and hot and spicy

      Fruity, honey, yeast
    • Taste

Pepper, nut-oily but also fruity (pineapple, green apple, kiwi, ...). A bit salty on the tongue but also the taste of yeast or ...? Maybe to refute to herbs that I still like. (Rosemary?)

Pretty finish, but not a real sticker.

Salt, wax, lemon and a few tropical fruits with honey - that's a great mix!
For me an underrated Ben Nevis!
    • Nose
Salt, wax and citrus at the beginning, orange and tropical fruits (maracujaa, mango, kiwi) follow, also mint and leathery aromas are in the nose, earthy and liquid wax again and clear marimite impressions!
    • Taste
Maritime-salty on the palate, again clearly wax, lemon zest, malt sweetness and honey are clearly through, a little glue and an association to juniper, herbs such as rosemary, fennel and mint, pleasantly earthy; not as pronounced tropical-fruity as the nose, but again clearly maritime! And the green, slightly sour apples are not to be forgotten!
    • Finish
Medium long, pleasant, dry and with not too little lemon out the back!

Interesting whisky, probably not my favorite but not bad at all
    • Nose
Very salty sea breeze, buttery, vanilla, green fruits
    • Taste
Very oily, waxy, spicy, peppery, roasted nuts, sesame oil, fruity, pears, pineapples, subtle sweetness
    • Finish
Medium long and warm, more citrusy in the end

    Cadenhead's official tasting notes:

Nose: Olive oil, green apples and freshly baked bread. Sesame seeds and maple syrup.
Taste: Whole pineapples, white pepper and some grassy notes and then mango and pears.
Finish: Big chewy oily finish. Quite industrial but becoming fresher with some gooseberries and custard creams
