Palate: A delicate alcoholic Pritzeln is palpable. The raisins become clearer. The mouthfeel is not oily, rather a bit watery. Warming the Mortlach trickles down the throat and provides for a drying pad on the tongue. Dark chocolate initiates the finish. Herbal notes come in and a slight "spicenes" flashes.
Finish: For me he is medium length and very pleasant. I like chocolate and coffee. Spicy, warming and drier, he says ahoy. But I do not want to say goodbye, give in. A dangerously tasty droplet.
Conclusion: A pleasing, balanced malt that does not overwhelm. A Fassreifung, which gives the Brennereicharakter a chance. The 43 vol. % are ok for me and the PLV too.
