Not special. Won't buy this one...

Take an average Irish tripple distilled whiskey, sniff and chance is big it smells exactly the same. Fresh like a young whiskey. Vanilla, Citrus...
    • Taste
      80 80
Tastes like.... a blend. A bit sharp on the side of the tongue, a lot of grainwhiskey.
      Not very special, but okay.

The finish is not the best part. Smooth from the start. A bit bitter in the end.

[January, 2016]  I had this dram during an "Irish" FoSM club tasting. In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50
    - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 75.  I took no detailed notes as this whiskey did not interest me.

The nose is quite greedy and engaging, but the mouth is strongly influenced by the young grain whiskey (I would be curious to know the grain / malt ratio of this blend), which is not my cup of tea at all. The bitterness is still very pronounced, but it is forgotten after several sips. The objective "to drink without asking questions between mates to get drunk" is nevertheless largely achieved, because it is very easy to drink. For the group nostalgic.
    • Nose
Very "grain", lots of caramel and vanilla raisin. It reminds a lot young Bourbon. A touch of freshness, minty and even herbaceous, still makes its way.
    • Taste
At 40%, it is drunk like water, it was predictable. A blend of fruity bitterness, caramel, and raisin. Young wood invites itself to the game, as well as spicy spices.
    • Finish
Short. The mouth dries by the woody influence and the fruity bitterness. A residue of spices.

Very flat nose. Improbable mixture of vanilla and blotting paper. In the mouth, nothing, neutral. A bit sour in fact. Short final on vanilla. REALLY be a fan of the band to buy this thing.

    Enthusiasm 1/5

On the nose, malt, caramel, and a "certain" freshness, then the sensation of a sweet synthetic aroma!
In the mouth, spices, otherwise it seems to drink something watery, yet 40 ° is not anything anyway, otherwise, vague sensation of grapes and candies!
In the final, well ... not found, just the woody and spicy return!
a blend ... to drink without asking questions, which leaves the memory of the empty bottle!

No, that's not my case! I find him very young metalic and smells something like glue. The alcohol I find here very inharmonious involved. Too bad, because I think the Pogues, actually very cool! Even with the second chance, he did not like me ...
