If I were a bad language, I would say it's easy to stash young juices in good hyperactive casks ... But honesty pushes me to say it was delicious. Enthusiasm 4/5 (3/5 with water) Whisky n ° 1592
    • Nose
Warm, the barrel of Madeira dominates enormously: cooked wine, jam of blackberry, there is roundness. At the opening we have caramel gourmand, chocolate.
With a little water, lighter, almost airy. Citrus fruits (grapefruit) Vegetal youth revealed!
    • Taste
The barrel is overwhelming limit: honey, spices, black fruit jam. Juicy texture. Easier to drink with water from ABV. One loses nevertheless in balance and one draws towards a certain bitterness even.
    • Finish
Nice roundness with these black fruits, always. Impressive. Persistent bitter orange.

such an intense, oily distillate.. it manages to poke through the heavy curtain of sherry sweetness..

nose is almost perfumed, a blooming orchard after rain.. ‘un peu sale et un peu salé’.. perfect alcohol integration..
    • Taste

much sherry, yes.. powerful, yet elegant..
    • Finish

aromatic.. long.. bittersweet sweet.. eucalyptus and a tad hot

Seer very good. A little less Madeira taste than the game, but great. Fully fulfilled.

  4. aphex scored this whisky 89 points Expert Senior

Young and highly influenced by the Madeira cask, yes, but excellent.
    • Nose
Berries (black and red), jam, underwood (mushrooms and all) and whiffs of bacon. With aeration, some orangey notes.
    • Taste
The madeira influence is even stronger. Fruits from the nose and rancio. Slightly dirty. Pepper and honey. Great balance.
    • Finish
      Long, fruity, peppery.

  5. sagara-kun scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

It's very good, and the side a little "dirty" is good. I would have preferred to do without the dose of sulfur.
    • Nose
A very slight touch of sulfur on the nose. We have typical dry sherry markers, with dates, figs. A good dose of rancio. Dark chocolate, bitter, with splashes of cocoa.
    • Taste
We stay on a dominant of bitter dark chocolate and oily leather. Black fruit. Mure and always fig. Soft caramel. With the time of the red fruit jam.
Mouth finally a little "dirty" with a little undergrowth / suffers.
    • Finish
Final in the continuity. Long enough. On the tire, red fruits and leather.
