  1. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Jo. Saulecker. Pure fun is fun. From the "house brand" you do not notice much, but then I can graciously look over it in the case, and strangely I can not imagine that at another distillery this taste combination could come out.
    • Nose
Pure: old cabinet wall with furniture polish, smoked bacon, then prevents a pepper cloud further sniffing and calls for water: the wall unit back, the bacon remains, burning, the sharpness is gentler, cinnamon, ginger, this orange pulp, raisins, then a breeze of cocoa powder , Tobacco, leather
    • Taste
Pure: great, not too spicy, intense grape and walnut dark chocolate, the smoke is discreet and dry (or very well integrated), again a touch of furniture polish and tobacco, very delicious; with water it gets milder, sweeter, milk chocolate, slightly oily-bacon, strangely also clearly peppery - pure is more beautiful
    • Finish
long, pure it gets hot again and then ashen, thinner less spicy, but very dry with cocoa / dark chocolate, walnut, ashes

With a few more years would it have exploded the bar of 90 ?.
    • Nose
Thick chimney smoke, smoked meat (bacon), strong exotic spices (pepper, curry), candied fruits, citrus fruits. Total absence of aggressiveness, a miracle for a whisky of 11 years at 56.10 °.
    • Taste
Lively and complex mouth. Smoky smoky omni present, camphor notes, citrus (peeled oranges thrown in the fire) accompanied by hot spices, all on a fund more sweet (the barrel?) Which tempers the roaring fire.
    • Finish
Long final on a pair of acrobats between facetious peat, playful spices and beautiful salinity.

  3. Albaron scored this whisky 93 points Specialist

A great complex whisky that offers a lot. For his 11 years very mature and always offers new facets. More please. Remains for a long time.
    • Nose
the alcohol tingles in the nose, then some smoke and FAT sweet sherry, very spicy, like a spice mixture, raisins, grapes, prunes
    • Taste
a touch of alcohol, but overall well integrated, sweet sherry, light smoke, also here the raisins and prunes, chocolate, some barrel spice, fine Edradourschmelz and then to the finish hints into the phenolic übergleitend
    • Finish
long finish, some dry smoke, then passing into malty and a nice almond note, which stays long
