Whisky Reviews for Glen Grant 1969 DT

  1. markjedi1 scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

    One of the best
Lonach bottlings I have tried so far. In fact, it is also one of the best Glen
Grant I have tried so far! Unfortunately almost impossible to find nowadays.
    • Nose
      Wonderful, tropical
nose on passon fruit, banana, orangettes, honey, mint, cinnamon and
butterscotch. Yes, this is great. The sherry is far from overpowering. This is
very fruity with just a touch of oak that works very supportively. Sweet butter
after a few moments, with a hint of brown sugar.
    • Taste
      A mild salty touch
precedes an explosion of dark, juicy fruit, a little more spices than on the
nose and wonderful toasted oak. Oh, boy, this is exactly what I was hoping for.
    • Finish
      In the long, warm and
mildly drying finish, the mint rears its head one more time.
