One likes to drink it, it would probably also go quite well in drinking strength, sherry bomb just...
    • Nose
A torrent of red fruit comes towards me, plus some moist tobacco, raisins, sweet, slightly grassy, the tobacco note is very present, then comes chocolate, pickled cherries, creamy, spicy, almost Maggi, something really comes across, even if now and then the alcohol flashed through
    • Taste
Chocolate, cherries and raisins, short nut, intense, Sherry Sherry Sherry, slightly sweet, the start is rather reserved, it only accelerates in the middle part, but then really, has something of sherry concentrate, dense, then overall not that sweet, the alcohol fits in the mouth
    • Finish
In the finish, a small note of wood appears briefly on the palate, which brings with it a slightly dry mouthfeel, some nuts, still raisins, medium length, nice,

Very extreme sherry, but delicious, not too antique, does not seem as artificial as it sounds
    • Nose
Nougat, dark Bordeaux wine, berries en masse, deep spices, sherry x 100, later dark chocolate, black cherry
    • Taste
Oversweet, dark sherry, dark cherries, dark chocolate, soft oak behind, only mild seasoning I think, Jägermeister in very sweet and berry
    • Finish
Long, spicy, dry Bitterschkolade and oak, round and full

Here is the rating of WHISKYDREAM.de

Best Dram - The Dark Secret Color: amber. You can immediately see the 10 years (2005-2015) in the 1st Fill Sherry cask ...
In the nose immediately spreads the smell of sweet, dark sherry and black cherry with dark chocolate. After a long smell, citrus notes (lemon?) Are added. (86)
The first sip reveals gingerbread spice, liquorice and, of course, clearly sherry with dark chocolate and dark cherries. Furthermore dried plum, vanilla and malty aroma. A real Dark Secret ... (88)
The finish is medium long, warm and woody-dry (oak), on the tongue peppery. (85)
    Overall rating: 86.5 points
Repurchase probability: 75% , great sherry whisky, but not cheap ...

As dark as he looks, he tastes too. Dark sherry bomb that holds what the color promises. Nice, super sweet Nippdram.
    • Nose
At first still restless and strong with a lot of oak and sour notes, it is then sweet, fat, heavy and extremely sherrylastig. The alcohol tickles clearly in the nose, otherwise sherry, sherry, sherry!
    • Taste
Sweet with cherries and a slightly medical touch, wick wild cherry, now also in the nose. Otherwise dark honey, and fruit syrup. No trace of oak.
    • Finish
In the finish very fast, with some menthol, otherwise even without surprises.

  7. Koalafant scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Great ... I'm typing on Glenfarclas
    • Nose
Fresh fruity onset with notes of raspberries and a slightly sour note of redcurrants
    • Taste
Strong Sherry Fruit Flavor (Oloroso?). Now rather dates, figs and fresh plums with a huge sweetness. Later clearly sharp
    • Finish
      medium and warm

A true sherry monster. Strong and intense sherry. You can tell in my opinion the "young" age. Whether the price for a 10 year old whisky from a 1st fill sherry butt is justified, everyone has to decide for themselves. For me a very successful drop. Violent Sherry as I love him!
    • Nose
Intense Sherry on the go. The sherry is powerful, but you notice the "young" age of the Dark Secret. Fruity and slightly metallic, the sherry flows out of the glass. A touch of freshly brewed coffee, light whole milk chocolate in the taste. Fine dark fruits that integrate harmoniously with the 58.7% alcohol. Now follows a slight biting nose.
    • Taste
Undiluted: Violent, aromatic sherry with significant wood influence. After adding a few drops of water, there is little change in the aroma. So again water. Now opens the Dark Secret, is milder but somehow spicier. The fruity sherry is creamier and smoother. Espresso and chocolate come to the fore. A subtly spicy seasoning develops. Light tingles on the palate and pleasant woody aromas.
    • Finish
Strong, intense and spicy, the enjoyment of the Dark Secrets ends. Still voluminous sherry and fruit. The finish of the finish develops a fine woody note.
