Whisky Reviews for Bowmore 25-year-old
6 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 91.93 points
- Tropical fruits and smoke, dark fruits and toffee, lives up to expectations for a 60s bowmore, very good.
Strong tropical fruits, toffee and smoke, very best of its kind, top-tier leather, ink, seaweeds and orangy sherry. Very salty and peaty after 10mins.
Following the nose, strong tropical fruits and toffee here, strong blackcurrants, seaweeds, mellow and elegant, a bit watery, still leathery and smoky, ashy, calvados, baked apple, dark chocolates.
Long, apple, toffee, chocolates, sherry and herbs.
- One of the truly few whiskies to deserve a 100 rating. Just perfect. Fruit salad bowl with exotic touches.
- wonderfully balanced Bowmore, with a clear peat note without smokiness, which plays out its maritime notes.
Flower meadow, sea breeze, white pepper, some anise, rosemary, yellow plum, some peat
sweet, canned mirabelles, beautiful Torfton, camphor, pleasant saltiness
medium length, fruity, turning into fruit seeds
- A really good classic.
Sweet and apply, very light smoke, peppermint, a deep fruity sweetness, chalk, fireplace-smoke, medicinal notes of dentists office. Liquorice, pear, salmiak, a bit boozy but nothing disturbing.
Dryer by the taste than the nose, though fruity, fresh apricot, blackcurrant berries & leaves, peppermint. A very pleasant light smoke. Round, a bit of clam and bitter and sweet oysteriness, very good.
Dryish but pleasant, long.
