- Still a very good dram
Raisins, dates, figs, Caramel, molasses, sugarcane, vanilla, alcohol
Enters peppery and sweet. Pepperoni spices are dominant but all the sherrried fruits from the nose are there. Massive taste but the pepperoni spices takes over the show a bit to much.
No real surpriseshere but the finish is long and tasty
- It's better without water.
Low viscosity, revealing a spirit with a high strength.
Sugar and barley, caramel, peach, raisins, black cherry, dried fig, bread dough, later also tobacco and herbs.
A sweet and coating attack, with dried fruits, cocoa, vanilla, and beeswax. Late, gentle spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper) emerge.
Medium length, medium drying. It's again dominated by dried fruits, some "oak juice" or sawdust and cinnamon. There is also a faint grassy note. After a while, there are hints of tobacco.
- Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Dates, raisins and prunes, dusted with Christmas spices.Palate: Enjoyably rich, with plenty of chewy toffee and more cinnamon and clove.Finish: A lasting touch of oak spice.
