Not too sweet like PX's usually, rather a Moscatel type. Nice.
    • Nose
Sherry, orange peel, raisin, fig and mint.
    • Taste
Spicy. Sherry, oak, dried fruits, cocoa, tobacco, citruses, cinnamon and pepper.
    • Finish
      Long, spicy, creamy, metallic.

A bit to strong alcohol. With water it becomes more jammy and more raisinous. Enjoyable dram.
    • Nose
Classic Dronach. Nutty and for me, earthly. Apricots. Jammy. Quite minty! Oranges. Hint of raisins, figs come more through. Chocolate
    • Taste
Sherry and minty. A tad strong on alcohol. Nutty of course. Chocolate. Dried fruits. Cinnamon and Oranges.
    • Finish
Long finish. Tobacco and netallic. Nutty. Barrel influence. Still spicy and bitter. Still strong on alcohol

    Tasted with Whiskyclub Spakenburg
    • Nose
Nuts - pecan, chocolate - Nutella, figs and dates.
    • Taste
Tobacco, cinnamon, soft white pepper, syrup, pecan and cookies.
    • Finish
Lingering sherry notes and creamy fruits.

      Compared with Glendronach 2003 #4034.

  5. Segens scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

I prefer the cask 3806 a bit more as it is more dirty and complex. This dram is beautiful and having a nice dry sherry balance. Nevertheless I am missing a bit the "more" which would make it to 90 points in this case. Not far away though...
    • Nose
sweeter than cask 3806 but also not as complex. Alcohol is also tickling the nose.
    • Taste
First very sweet start but then also immediately dry and some spicy pepper elements.
    • Finish
Very good finish which is very nice balanced and giving a good feedback of this nice dram.
