Whisky Reviews for Kilchoman 2010 - The Trilogy
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.50 points
Mouth and finish: 2/5 (3/5 with water)
Whisky n ° 1563
Peat contained. Olive oil ? Viandard. Rather green and young.
Fine texture but bitter peat. Cardboard ? Unbalanced set.
More fluid and drinkable with water.
Long, bitter and sticky.
With water, there is sweetness, ashes and spices.
- (Blind PWC of 21/10/17) Difficult to identify this distillery, overall not often packaged.
A mineral peat and especially sweet, in Kilchoman spirit.
A sharp attack as the whole of the mouth.Alcohol poorly integrated. Bouquet of spices and mineral peat.
Finale of beautiful length on the peat and mineral sweet, all accompanied by spices.
- Heat, nutmeg, oily and meaty smokes. Big strength on palate, firm, spicy, syrupy sweet honey, floral. Long with pungent wood. — at Whisky Live Singapore.
- A well done cask as usual from Kilchoman. Nevertheless the glue-component is not only in the nose but decent throughout the whole whisky and annoys me a bit to be honest (but also not too much haha)
Typical smoke, honey, glue combination. Not too complex but quite nice. I also may find a bit of ginger and pepper!
The honey sweetness is strong and the smoke almost disappears. It is much sweeter than I expected.
Very nice ginger finish. Still the honey sweetness is quite dominant.
