Whisky Reviews for Glen Keith 1973 CA

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.47 points

  1. St. Pauli scored this whisky 79 points Connoisseur

It's not a good whisky and should have been used for blending purposes if you ask me. It's very yeasty, sour and bitter. The creamy side is hardly present.

Chalky and yeasty initially, with quite some power from the alcohol. Bread dough, pine needle, icing sugar, vanilla, unripe pineapple, coconut and sawdust. With time and water: less alcohol and pine needle but more apple juice and lemon instead.
    • Taste
      79 79
Quite fierce, and sweet in the beginning, but that ends quite quickly. Instead, it gets quite sour and bitter. With water it gets a bit creamier, but it's still very austere. Yeast, unbaked dough, grape seed, bitter lemon, unripe pineapple, ginger powder, and vanilla custard.
    • Finish
      75 75
Short, hot and bitter. Chili pepper, ginger powder, grape seeds, lemon and grapefruit rind. To put it short, it's harsh.
