Character: A light, one-dimensional and exceedingly boring drop, which is determined by cereal notes and conjures up a few mediocre oak and slightly bitter almond flavors in the mouth Rating: Certainly not made bad, but in terms of taste, this filling somehow offers me absolutely nothing. Just "blubb" and gone. Falls in the category "no desire to drink the sample". For this non-existent taste experience I do not need to drink alcohol. Positively formulated: easy, "easy drinking" and in preparation for beautiful whiskeys certainly also suitable for loosening the tongue. Whereby I would prefer a Glenfiddich 12 for the latter. Just not mine. Honored 70 points .
    • Nose
Basic Flavors: Cereals, Citrus, Fruits ( Light ), Tea (Green), Vanilla, Honey Description: The nose is dominated by cereal notes. In addition, there is some lemon and a fresh bright fruit aroma that reminds me of green apples. Thoughts of cold green tea are coming up. A subtle vanilla-honey blend provides a slightly sweet creaminess, but just like the fruit notes does not really emerge from the shadow of the pronounced grain that reminds me of broken grain.
    • Taste
Basic flavors: cereals, oak, almonds Description: Clear, light and with an almost watery mouthfeel, the drop hits the tip of the tongue. Relatively thin liquid makes a slightly bitter grain taste in the mouth wide. This bottling really does not have any body and even fruits are surprisingly no longer available. The watery grain simply dries up over time, and in the transition to the finish comes a somewhat woody oak and hints of almonds.
    • Finish
Basic Flavors: Grain, Oak, Almonds Description: The finish is relatively short. The liquid grain disappears quite fast. But the slightly bitter oak-almond mixture sounds a bit longer.

Nothing special here but very successful in hiding the port casks.Concerning price/performance ratio: 7/10
    • Nose
Some citrus, caramel, vanilla, hints of honey, grainy.
    • Taste
Again: Some citrus, caramel, vanilla, hints of honey, getting dry.
    • Finish
Short. Hints of fruits, honey, dry oak.

    This was really really bad.

    Stay away from this one.

Might be the worst whisky I have ever tasted.

  4. Koalafant scored this whisky 65 points Expert Senior

In the second attempt, he has positively surprised me (compared to the first impression), but far from convinced.
    • Nose
I am greeted by the typical Irish fruitiness paired with a hint of grainy ... but everything is rather weak-chested. Later, add some honey and vanilla, but do not last long.
    • Taste
Extremely grainy, but not unpleasant. Honey and vanilla come through here more clearly.
    • Finish
      medium and a bit bitter
