    Good clynelish.

Nice clynelish although I think it could do much better. Not sure it was the lack of expression in the nose or the taste that prevents me for going higher on this on.

It had a glue / varnish smell that went away after adding water which it really needed. I think this one will improve when it's open for a longer time. One to return to in some time (I hope)

I was not blown away by this one, but it's certainly a good drinker anyway.
    • Nose
Varnish at first, then some stewed apples, orange zest, grain, lemon juice and straw.
    • Taste
More aparrent sherry influence than on the nose, toffee, iced sugar, vanilla, orange and some cloves. Round and balanced.
    • Finish
Quite long, sweet on sugar, slightly herbal and spicy with crushed pepper.

The first Sherry-based Clynelish which is convincing me. The bottle has even improved after x month opening.
A faint chemical note in the nose, which in this case is not disgusting but perfectly integrated in a sweet flowery context.

    90 pts.

I like this typical sweet-flowery Clynelish style.
    • Nose
At first glue-ish, but then right away sweet oak wood, vanilla, peppery, flowery, dried peach and a little dried banana. Cookie dough, lemon-lime.
    • Taste
Slightly peppery, dried banana, some herbs (basil, laurel).
    • Finish
Vanilla, cookies, nutty, candy (peach, raspberry).
Medium long, a little dry but in a good way to me.
