  1. Mannix65 scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

Young, wild, unbalanced - and quite one-dimensional - not a malt that will be remembered
    • Nose
Heavy smoke with a light medicinal touch, alcoholic, glue and some caramel
    • Taste
very alcoholic, the addition of a few drops of water does not change anything - peppery, medicinal green spicy yellow pepper with sour background
    • Finish
      rauchig, scharf - relativ lang

Direct comparison with BP 2017: The smell is not so inorganic. They don't differ much in taste and reverberation, except for the juiciness, thanks to which 2015 turns out to be the winner in a balanced duel. Very good whiskey!
    8.5 / 10
    • Nose
      85 85
Slightly smoke, rubber, musty cellar. Citrus background.
    • Taste
      90 90
      Sausage, coal spiciness, fruit juiciness.
    • Finish
      90 90
Peat, pepper, dark chocolate with chili. The reverberation is excellent - very long and juicy.

Big Peat Christmas casks are great whiskey. This one didn't disappoint me anyway. Distinctive in aroma and taste. In the smell I liked shoemaker glue for shoes, the taste is to remember the distinctiveness and the whole oily texture. Rough, distinctive bomb.

    * Direct comparison with 2018: 2018 is certainly less pronounced and characteristic. 2015 disarmed me in the smell and taste of its creamy and distinctive full, oily texture. 2018 is also distinctive, but unfortunately the smell and taste is simpler and more smoky and salty.
    • Nose
Shoemaker's workshop and shoe glue. Salinity and slight under-smoking. Maybe some Schwarzwald ham. After a while even tones of some dried fruit, plums. It has certain features in common with the paralleled Ledaig 12 GMP, although it is more pronounced and less complex.
    • Taste
Coal, ash, beautiful oiliness, creaminess. Rounded, but aggressive and pronounced. But it is not overly rough. Very nice thing.
    • Finish
Coal, smoked, slightly smoked. Salinity. Strong and long, sharper. Your taste buds will be stunned for some time.
