Big Peat Christmas casks are great whiskey. This one didn't disappoint me anyway. Distinctive in aroma and taste. In the smell I liked shoemaker glue for shoes, the taste is to remember the distinctiveness and the whole oily texture. Rough, distinctive bomb.
* Direct comparison with 2018: 2018 is certainly less pronounced and characteristic. 2015 disarmed me in the smell and taste of its creamy and distinctive full, oily texture. 2018 is also distinctive, but unfortunately the smell and taste is simpler and more smoky and salty.
Shoemaker's workshop and shoe glue. Salinity and slight under-smoking. Maybe some Schwarzwald ham. After a while even tones of some dried fruit, plums. It has certain features in common with the paralleled Ledaig 12 GMP, although it is more pronounced and less complex.
Coal, ash, beautiful oiliness, creaminess. Rounded, but aggressive and pronounced. But it is not overly rough. Very nice thing.
Coal, smoked, slightly smoked. Salinity. Strong and long, sharper. Your taste buds will be stunned for some time.
