Goddamn what a nose, this one. Packed flower meadows; honey through which you can smell the supplier. Man, what a party. The first nip is immediately dry and fairly sharp - 57% - but softens immediately. The high ABV gives what I call "molasses" taste that you often have - and numbs the tongue. Just be patient then, save a little spit and chew well - free to Koot and Bie - then an adult guy sprays the moped. That's just how it is. Too strong for my taste. Then just a little water. In the meantime, I am doing my best to keep the mesh flies on my laptop screen from my glass. The water brings relief and even a trace of smoke. Vanilla is more likely now; also wet oak as a moist cellar full of barrels of sherry, Then a new layer is tapped, green herbs - sage, rosemary, all very subtle.
This is fine whisky and I have another sample - jippie!
