    Extremely interesting Highland Park. At first I don't have that much in my nose. A bit of seaweed, pickled cucumber ... but it gets "wild" with increasing temperature. In contrast, a lot more happens in the mouth from the first second. Very, very spicy. Wasabi, celery ... bag soup. The more you chew on it, the more of these flavors emerge. Insanely exciting what appears there. For me one of the most spectacular HPs of the SMWS. Terrific!

    very peaty and phenolic in the nose for an Orkney whisky. you guess islay on the nose. on the tongue it starts intriguingly easy and then explodes with a bunch of smoke and honey. cool. a surprise whisky! water lets him getting easier and the explosion is gone. therefore a load of woody, smokey tones appear. cool stuff! unusual Orkney

    SMWS Tasting Notes
    Colour: Bunch of Muscat Blanc
    Flavour: Oily & coastal Different Panel members had different pictures nosing neat;
    one had just finished trimming the privet hedge, whilst another was looking at
    a plethora of leftover paint in the garage to decide the next DIY project and
    yet another inspecting an old upturned boat on a pebble beach. An intense icy
    fresh mouth-feel like a ‘Whisky Smash’ with a subtle sweet peat smoke infusion.
    Water added an intriguing mixture of sweet, salty, herbal and phenolic aromas;
    cloves, rosemary, burnt brown sugar, mint, and seaweed. The taste was an
    iceberg wedge salad with red peppers, black olives and roasted pine nuts with
    an olive oil dressing.

    Drinking Tip: Having a break at the ceilidh dance
