Sweet and Spicy, classical PX. Immediate aromas of dried fruits; raisins, sultanas and figs coated in various dried spices from cinnamon to turmeric. With time the spice takes a backseat and aromas of treacle and caramel step up.
With water notes of a chocolate liqueur.
Big fat and oily, no hiding the GlenDronach style. Arrives with a short kick of those spices, it quickly relaxes to bring through fruity notes of red berries and fruit compote.
Old wood, leather and a hint of pipe tobacco. Also some tannings coming through which wasn't present in the nose or palate.
