- Pretty punchy for just 40% abv, quite drinkable and also enjoyable
Honey, malty, little vanilla, little citrus and green fruits, old books
Pretty fresh, punchy, fruity, honey and citrus fruits, malty again
Medium long and warm, little zesty in the end
- N: Light, clean speyside malt with those familiar sweet/savoury lemon barley notes coupled with faint touches of mushroom, scorched earth, charred corn-on-the-cob and Roman spa mineral water [from Bath]. Although light in colour this appears to have some age to it - maybe up to 15 years? Its a soft nose but rather affable.
T: Its fairly prickly without water. With plenty added it reveals itself as a very simple, medium-light malt whisky with a comforting blanket mouthfeel and a truly consistent delivery - I kept it in the mouth for around a minute and it didn’t budge an inch.
F: Some milk chocolate notes accompany the sweet/savoury barley.
C: Extremely simple yet agreeable.
