Taste : Amazingly strong for only 40%, it tastes spicy and slightly sour and also sweet, like a lemon yogurt, mixed with a pinch of salt. At the second sip it becomes milder and also the acidity weakens, but milk chocolate comes to the fore, behind it remains a strong spiciness. Even oak makes itself felt, without much bitterness.
Finish : Warm and sweet, the whisky runs down the throat, in the mouth the chocolate remains, more bitter this time. A dry touch of salt stays in the mouth and lets the tongue stick to the palate. In the end, a bittersweet memory remains. Medium.
Conclusion : Super, I like it really well. I did not know what to expect and was more than positively surprised. For the price, under warranty, a bottle will find a place on my shelf. First class distillery crafts! I have 86 points. So many an expensive, much praised, independent single cask bottling can cut off a thick slice of it.
