A long juicy finish with notes of sweet sherry, spices (mainly ginger, pepper and allspice), fresh citrus tone, honey, vanilla, salted caramel, dark chocolate, tangy tobacco and lang lasting oak.
It is an extremely powerful whisky that has a pleasant combination of sweet sherry, oak, savory flavours and rich peaty smoke. It has some big flavours that need some taming. Water almost kills the charme of the nose but brings out the more subtle flavours in this dram. Also the more drying tannin flavours become stronger with H2O.
I kan highly recommend it for the peat heads out there!!
