Nose: very flowery with honey sweetness, burned hay, wet cardboard, grape must, glucose - very mixed nose. On the one hand, violent sweetness of the wine and beautiful floral notes - on the other, the Alrik smoke I can not win.
Taste: wow this is high percentage sweet wine, wild and spicy honey, fruity and mineral wine with a lot of residual sweetness, the smoke is now only discreet and ensures a pleasant kick. The finish is unfortunately quite short and is dominated by dextrose and oak.
Ambiguous nose and ingenious taste with a short finish. That must have been a great barrel but unfortunately the spirit has been quirks. But in sum, a delicious malt.

The nose is awesome. In taste and finish shows the youth. A delicious whisky.
    • Nose
When he is poured, one feels in a sea of flowers. Floral scents rise in the nose and disappear quickly. It leaves sweet grape, floral honey and a slightly smoky note.
    • Taste
In the taste a sweet start. Velvety on the tongue unfolds spicy notes, bitter chocolate and a little bit of sweet wine.
    • Finish
Short to medium. The bitter chocolate remains, then black pepper, which alternates with the chocolate.

A rather unusual Glen Els, the spice but is quite good, I think. In fact, it seems a bit dry, the sweetness is there, but is more involved. He should have been quieter a little older.
    • Nose
At the very beginning he has a slight aldehyde note, but immediately vanishes. Then come a lot of malt and zabaglione. Warms up the aldehyde note again, plus a little bit of salt, the smoke is now clear.
    • Taste
At first incredibly sweet, but it develops very quickly a tingling, peppery spice, after a while, the whisky is no longer so sweet. Semi-dark chocolate with some smoke, chili and dried fruit.
    • Finish
It sounds like chocolate, I can confirm the metallic aspects, they unfortunately tarnish the picture a bit. Otherwise, oak and smoke provide a pleasant, medium-length finish.

This GlenEls has gotten very little smoke. Both in the nose, as well as in the taste very discreet ...

It must have been an unbelievably "good" Sauternes Cask, as it clearly and fully shapes it. Insane sweetie makes herself wide in the mouth. Fully sugared and overripe grapes are here to taste ...

The finish shows the youth of the malts. After the sweetness has disappeared, get through some metallic notes that do not quite fit into the picture of this malts. Conclusion: Great Glen Els! A little too sweet and a bit more moderate aging would have done him good ...

Remembers me of the Alrik Mittwinter.
I ❤️ Sauternes Cask matured Malts.

Surprisingly spicy Glen Els. Who likes the Fassreifung, will love him. Personally, I like Glen Els better from other barrels.
    • Nose
The first impression: grapes full. These are joined by fruity aromas of apricots, peaches and mirabelle plums. Behind it spicier. Pepper. Oak. Milk chocolate. The wood smoke is quite present.
    • Taste
Very soft mouthfeel. Grapes. Datteln. Figs. Pepper. Oak.
    • Finish
Mild entrance. Grape milk chocolate. Spicy with pepper and cloves. Mocha. Oak. Wood smoke.
