With water: the taste becomes softer.
    • Nose
      Jeejtje, very peaty, only peat.
    • Taste
      hardly anything except alcohol
    • Finish
Hahahahah, what a peat. The unprotected brother of Laphroaig. and that says what hahaha! After-taste is still somewhat soft.

  2. Rom did not rate this whisky Expert Junior

Peaty nose, seaweed and a metallic side. Salt mouth, peppery, peaty and very iodized. Long finish on salt and seaweed. Retro-olfaction on a very clear oyster.

  3. Ivynor scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

Diantre, here is something very strange, singular and perfect to accompany your seafood, sushi, or plate of salmon.
    • Nose
Nothing in whiskeybase for the green color =)
I see that we have fun at Van Wees!

Nose rather strange and amusing: a little candy praline, pepper, some peaty, iodized notes. Impression also of feeling a fruit alcohol. In the empty glass, we smell oysters!
    • Taste
Rather fatty, iodized and peppered, but also hazelnut, medicinal plants and sugar.
    • Finish
Bring salt and pepper to your table! Always so confusing. It is ULTRA peppered, (Taliker 2 the return?), With always iodine, smoke, more ashes and earth.

(A priori a Laphroaig of 6 years with algae) very light color with green reflections, iodized nose and very marked by the seaweed, slightly peated, pepper, and a side alcohol of fruit (pear, plum). Powerful mouth, well integrated alcohol, very salty and very peppery, still seaweed and oyster, very maritime and very original. Final short enough unfortunately. Empty glass leaves a strong oyster or shell smell. A whiskey that can not leave indifferent.

An interesting experience. The whole is perfectly drinkable. The empty glass, after tasting, feels considerably seashell cooked in the sun.
    • Nose
      Seafood. A little oil spill.
    • Taste
Iodized, oily (from a mechanical oil), salty and spicy.
    • Finish
      Powerful. Peppery. A little peaty.

  7. Erik Elixir scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

young single malt cask strength Laphroaig

  8. MacMenM scored this whisky 81 points Expert Senior

    strage thing, funny experiment
    • Nose
starts with a sea nose, some huge platter of sea food, hints of smoke and petrol
    • Taste
strange : lime and grapefruit are meeting peat, some marine things, peppery, it changes in the direction of motor oil, all hints of petrol
    • Finish
      really balanced, quite drinkable
