I got more rum & raisin but there was also more bitterness at the start but then a wave of sweetness took over on the same flavours as before.
This is about as rich as it gets on any whisky, a sherry heads dream. I am not a sherry head in all honesty but I can really appreciate the quality of older Glenfarclas bottles like this.
Unfortunatrly for me this was from a sample, I would dearly like to get my hands on some more.
Rich sherry, black cherry, rum & raisin, treacle toffee, rich fruit cake and damp wood, a beautiful nose to be honest.
A little oakiness on this full bodied sherry monster. I get red wine, blackcurrent, black cherry, toffee. This is very rich , dark and sumptious.
Long rich but a hint of bitterness from the oak at the end.
