On first nosing this is not particularly expressive, hints of hospital wards, clinical sort of smell, a little menthol like a lockets honey lozenge, damp hay emerges, slightly farmy, traces of wood & spice.
Better after a few minutes in the glass.
Spice and peat on the attack mixed with a little butter & honey.
Plenty of stewed mixed white fruits and dried fruit, also dry on the palate.
Its syrupy in part and very fizzy, the spice angle certainly livens this one up with a fruit gum sweetness complimenting it nicely, good balance
Remaining fruity with the peat re emerging but it is far from dominant just in the right amount, the dryness has dissipated leaving you wanting more.
