    Thanks to karloff for the sample of my first wheat whiskey.
    In no way dissapointing.

      Never had a wheat whiskey, so didn't know what to expect.
      I would have guessed something close to bourbon, but it's actually more rye like.
      Intriguingly complex nose.
      Sweet caramel, more coconut than vanilla.
      Nice mix of herbs and spice.
      Juicy and dry at the same time.

      Spicy, rich and full bodied arrival.
      Sugary sweet turning slightly bitter.
      Taste is not as complex as the nose, still very savoury.

      Sweet and spicy. Medium+ in length with a warmth that lasts longer than the taste.

    I love this whiskey and if it was readily available I would have one in my whiskey room at all times just to sip now and again.

      Army and Navy sweets, freshly cut grass, green apples, old rope from a fishing boat, caramel, coconut hair doormat, melon and runner beans. This has a lovely nose and keeps inviting you to find out more and there is more, green olives, cardboard, chives and oregano.

      There is something unique about wheat whiskey, utterly butterly and just the right amount. The bitterness works very well with the spices. Ripe gooseberry that has been dipped in a little sugar. This is dare I say quite smooth with a lovely rich texture.

      A medium finish with lots of spice that tickle the tongue and brown sugar on the death.

      Rather short, soft, clean

      Obviously lots of wheat and vanilla at first. After that followed by honey and sweats. I also got a bit of toffee and a tiny bit of soap and floral smells

      Relative intense, tiny bit oily
    • Finish
      Not very long, but fitting within the complete picture
