  1. Malinois scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Thick bourbon aged whisky with the sweetness of Dalmore creates a pleasant aperitif

First Fill barrels were not. Blind, I would not have rated him that old. All in all, it is too expensive for the offered.
    • Nose
Apple, citrus, cloves, peach, vanilla, honey, slightly sour, some caramel
    • Taste
Oak, ginger, sour apple, bell pepper, citrus, clove, some vanilla and caramel, basil
    • Finish
Medium long and spicy with herbs

  6. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

He has what, interesting, a bit edgy, not a typical (rather pleasant-pleasing) Dalmore, since Bourbon barrel has apparently good given something, but for me no € 80 investment.
    • Nose
intense grainy sweet, slightly tingling, mineral water, wet, sandy loam ... later cooked apricots / peaches (tin), a hint of white pepper
    • Taste
a lot of grain, crisp, biscuit, a bit peppery, with an exotic-fruity bitter note, lime, lemon zest, orange peel ... Bitter Lemon! ... and grass
    • Finish
      medium-long, pepper, bitter lemon, grass

  7. Okto-Bull scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

Yes, he has a decent age, is not dyed and well made by hand, but it lacks that certain something. It's just a classic bourbon cask whisky, which I think is in better and cheaper.
    • Nose
The nose starts very restrained. The flavors initially hide behind a helping of vanilla. Only with a little time to open the malt and it comes flavors the butter caramel. In the background are floral notes and a fruity note that goes towards citrus fruits. The alcohol is wonderfully involved. The nose is reminiscent of a classic Bourbon barrel maturation. She looks very round and coherent, but not boring.
    • Taste
Even in taste, it starts again a bit restrained. Then there are added light toffee and citrus flavors. The alcohol is again very well integrated and not too present. It gets sweet with honey and cereal notes. A minimal bitterness comes through.
    • Finish
The finish is medium long. However, the oak presses at the end again. It gets neat sweet, with the sweetness having a slightly artificial impact. It sets in a kind of fresh or fruit kick. Tuttifrutti hits it.

  8. Noface83 scored this whisky 82 points Specialist

Nose: sweet malt, canned peach, pickled lemon juice, vanilla, some ginger sharpness. Has the nose got used to the smell but less and less comes out of the glass. Despite 18 years, there is no depth!?

Taste: just like the nose in the first impression. Very soft and supple. Slightly more floral notes and pepper (really aromatic black pepper), this pepper note remains in the middle finish with neat malt sweetness and bitter lemon zest. Decent now shows some age and oak.

Conclusion: Really tasty Dalmore with summery nose and a nice pepper kick in the mouth. For the offered but loose times 20 EUR too expensive.

My first thought: it is so fresh and light, it does not taste like 18 years. But then come the harsh herbs and you can locate it in time. The nose is too sweet, but the 46% are fun on the tongue.
    • Nose
Sweet fruit punch with orange peel, peach pieces and freshly grated ginger. Fresh and easy. Some menthol. Over time comes a cereal note, malt and milk chocolate
    • Taste
Sweet at the start, a reflection of the nose. Here, however, fine herbs are added, resulting in a slight bitterness. Almonds and walnuts. Toffee. Freshly cut wood. The orange peels from the nose come again.
    • Finish
Medium long, slowly drying. Slightly bitter (herbs), removed (canned) peach.
