Beautiful unusual Mortlach, interesting Unterschide between the rose water in nose, a lot of malt and yellow fruit in the mouth and the raisins in between always.
    • Nose
Light spice, rose petals, milk chocolate, raisins, apricot, light sherry, toffee cream
    • Taste
Needed briefly, then more clearly, full of sherry with a lot of caramel, honey, light spiciness, almost syrupy, apple, plum, sugar, raisins
    • Finish
Medium to long, fruity, malty, vanilla, slightly dry

  6. Albaron scored this whisky 86 points Specialist

Very nice whisky. Unusual, strong malty in the mouth, which I like, in addition to the sherry results in an unusual combination
    • Nose
Raisins, some tobacco, umami, meaty, a hint of sulfur, some toffee cream and sherry
    • Taste
Strong sherry, raisins, tobacco, slightly bitter, oak, toffee cream, caramel and malty
    • Finish
The malt is there, then the oak, which stays long

  9. Cicero did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

the barrel is already very dominant
    • Nose
      dry sherry
Raisins, prunes, caramel and again dusty attic
The fruits are stronger, berries, but also an apple is in the mix
    • Taste
a lot of oak, Sherry influence is there
but not overly fruity, more sweet-syrupy
    • Finish
      medium and rather unspectacular

  10. ASWhisky scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

he has character and tells me something Overall, a nice whisky I would like to drink again
    an always welcomed dram
    • Nose
mmh apart Fruit with flower and vanilla Lilac Note very light alcohol note a perfume note soft wood green apples with sticker (adhesive note very discreet) Now he gets a little soapy in the nose
    • Taste
strong spicy start much malt at the tip of the tongue and sideways citric acid on the palate spicy wood, which becomes bitter to the rear on the tongue rather like seasoning and medicinal licorice a floral note is in between Tobacco and dark fruit he is malty if you just swallow him like that nice malty with lemon and some flower in the cheeks and wood on the palate and a tingle on the tongue
    • Finish
malty, wood, lemon, baked apple juice, long
