    Nose:

    Red Pepper,Ginger,nutty,Spices

    Taste:
    malty,Vanilla,Honey,Almond,white Chocolate,
    red Pepper,Ginger.BloodOrange,Grapefruit,
    Cardboard,salted Caramel,Strawberries,Plums,brown Sugar,Butter,Oak bitterniss

    Finish:
Medium-long with a Medium to strong Alcohol Note

    Overall:
Aside from a whiff of Sulphur it has a really complex Aroma.
On the Tongue this is almost as good as the sold out Benriach 15 PX Finish i had.
Add to that a pretty affordable Price for an 18 year old, heavily Sherry-influenced Dalmore.

Nice sweet. A beautiful typical Dalmore as I like him. Nice nose with lots of sweetness and a nice musty undertone. In the mouth, he goes well forward without being too sharp. Sweetness sticks in your mouth and the PX finish really shows its strength. The finish is nice and normal.
Great thing and above all no color :-) 88 points

    • Nose
thin, sweet, vanilla, earth, pastries at first, something that smells like eggs for me
    • Taste
full on the tongue, red fruits like redcurrant or blackberry, again sweet, oak, herbs
    • Finish
medium long, warm, spicy, oak comes through well, bitter and again the eggs

I think it's delicious. However, the price is very athletic.
    • Nose
Red fruits, sulfur, nutmeg, some pepper, cinnamon, a hint of cashews, pear. When the second smell it is still much fruity.
    • Taste
Red fruits, oak, sulfur, orange, whole milk chocolate, straw
    • Finish
Medium-long and spicy, with rosemary and nutmeg

    • Nose
Some musty sweetness (bark mulch), oranges, apples, sweet fruits, vanilla, slightly alcoholic note.
    • Taste
Sweet oranges or lychees, strong black pepper, very busy and dry.
    • Finish
      long strong and fruity finish

Nose: fresh with a hint of menthol, chocolate hazelnut ice, malt, caramel, a slightly acidic / musty note of wine with dark berry fruits, even oak is discreet. The nose has a lot to offer but it looks a bit fragile.
Taste: full flavor explosion (strong and full in spite of "only" 46%) Chocolate with pepper, hazelnuts, meringue sherry wood, sweetness and plum, in the finish then the PX comes out right with a nice fig note, mint, spicy oak and brown sugar. Medium long but intense.
Conclusion: The PX barrel shows up late in its true splendor but then with full force. Could some put something on the finish but I think it's very tasty. But the big hit is certainly not the whisky. For the price still a really good alternative to the OAs of Dalmore.

  7. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Reads actually quite well, what I write up there, but somehow does not set a real treat, not quite consistent, feels a little francly. So - very subjective - not my case. So no 90 ¬ candidate for me, but I can well imagine that the other tastes good, because the basics are in place and I actually objectively have nothing to complain about.
    • Nose
Orange, milk chocolate, cinnamon, with an artificial, fresh note, something between menthol and solvent ... over time it looks older, dusty, dry, old kitchen herbs, old hay, hard leather
    • Taste
again at the start: orange, milk chocolate, cinnamon ... maybe a bit sharper and more bitter than the nose - ginger, pepper, bittersweet, some pipe tobacco
    • Finish
long, dark chocolate, pepper, some herbal bitters, quite dry mouthfeel

Not as sweet as the sister bottling from the bourbon barrel. Overall, he makes a rounder impression.
    • Nose
Fruity sweetness that may come from pears and green apples. Less sweet than the expansion in the Bourbon barrel. Fresh and mentholig. Very little nutty. Fresh leather, milk chocolate. Some lavender.
    • Taste
Vanilla and chocolate at the beginning, along with fruitiness of pears and apples, which soon tilts into the dark, reflecting the sweetness of ripe berries. Ginger cookies. Leather and tobacco. Herbs mix with each other, oak comes.
    • Finish
Medium-long, dry, mentholig, with oak, chocolate and herbs.

The first time I found it delicious and today it is the same. A delicious malt with a great finish.
    • Nose
Yeah, that's right with this cute PX-note. The sweetness is reminiscent of fermented, dark fruits and comes easily artificial. With a little time, a light spiciness reminiscent of oak and pepper is added.
    • Taste
It starts nicely creamy. It comes a pleasant spice before the sweetness of the PX-barrel is then with one blow. Cherries, dark chocolate and plums. The mouth becomes slightly dry. With the second sip, spice and sweetness are in harmony.
    • Finish
The finish is short to medium in length with a decent portion of sweet licorice. Again plum and dried fruit. The spicy oak is also here again. Add pepper and it will dry properly
